Cinch up yer saddle and join the posse partner -- we’ve got a murder to solve! That’s right, ol’ “Horse Face Jack” has done been put out to pasture, but instead of grazin’ he’s pushing up the daisies.
Ride along with us on this hilarious journey through the old west with some of the zaniest characters to ever step off the stage.
Why would someone want to send Horse Face to the glue factory? Was he feeling his oats with Fifi, the local saloon girl? Maybe he thought the Doc should get a dose of his own medicine? Could our proper Ms. Rita Book have wanted to re-write a chapter or two? Or was this just a case of mistaken identity? And will Marshal Courtright be able to round up the guilty party or will he have to call in the Canadian Mounties?
Horse Face Jack might have been smelly, lazy and an all-round rotten sort but a shot in the back ain’t no suicide. So it’s up to you buck-a-roo to figure out “who done it” and bring the varmint to justice.
Cast of Characters
Marshal Jim Courtright – Jim is an intelligent, kind lawman struggling to maintain order in one of the wildest parts of Texas. He would like to spend a quiet evening at home, but instead will be working his way through the parade of zany characters to determine who murdered Horse Face Jack.
Woody – Woody is the simple sort and the Marshal’s right-hand man. Unfortunately, too many drinks at the saloon may have left this cowboy with too few brain cells. Or is Woody smarter than he looks? Does he really not trust himself? Should you?
Rita Book – Rita is known for her strait-laced ways, but this school marm with less than a charm school past may have been keeping Horse Face Jack after class.
Fifi – Oh la la! This soiled dove is a worldly dance hall girl all the way from France by way of New Orleans. Did Horse Face Jack get caught up in the voodoo that she do?
Doc Croaker – Someone once told Doc, “Physician heal thyself.” And he’s been on the tonic ever since. Doc figures he will continue to “practice” his occupation until he gets it right. The problem is he’s quickly running out of patients. Was Horse Face Jack his last appointment?
